As for the brick, I am loving it. I was so stressed about whether I'd chosen the right colour but now I'm really pleased with the way it's looking. Will look even better when the bricks are cleaned.

It's a BRICKHOUSE!
It's a brick house, it's mighty mighty...one of my favourite Commodores song. Well, the bricking started on our house yesterday. The bricklayer (only 1 bricklayer and his labourer are assigned to our house) told Ben he will take about 10 days to finish. After going there today to check things out, I can see why. He seems to be a perfectionist with his job. Very nice work so far.
